Quality teachers play the most important role in improving children’s learning outcomes.
This source book will mainly focus on school-based in-service TPD (in short “TPD”). This entails knowledge, but also skills and attitudes. All practices, models and approaches described in this book are applicable to all forms of in-service TPD, whether it takes place at cluster, district, provincial or national level.
As part of the capacity development trajectory ofered by VVOB in Vietnam, education officers engaged in deep refection on the efectiveness of their teacher professional development system and took steps to improve it. They identifed points for improvement. They experimented with new approaches. These points and experiences, as well as literature are collected in this source book.
This source book refers to preschool education. However, the content can be applied to any level of the General Education Programme.
