The 2014-2016 VVOB Early education programme is coming to an end.
The objective was to make sure that early education teachers and school leaders provide all learners with equal opportunities. At the youngest ages, education is especially important, given that it influences their further education and their whole future life. This programme particularly focused on active teaching and learning, gender, and transition from Early Childhood Education to Primary education.
On Tuesday and Wednesday 6 and 7 December 2016, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen organized a provincial closing workshop. In the weeks before, similar workshops were held in Nghe An (28-29/11/2016), Quang Nam (10-11/11/2016) and Quang Ngai (24-25/11/2016). In each of these, the Provincial Women Union, the Department and Bureaus of Education and Training and the Teacher Training Institutes shared their achievements and good practices. Several teachers testified about the challenges they have faced and how their daily work practice has changed. The Teachers Training Institutes highlighted that the programme enabled teachers to improve their capacity of teaching and made them more confident.
