As a follow-up activity of the workshop on the Open Resource Center (ORC) in Da Nang on April 24, 2011, a workshop on ICT for ATL Competition was held by the Education Management Component of VVOB in Cua Lo Town, Nghe An Province on May 14, 2011. Six people from each DOET of the five partner provinces participated in this workshop. They are local coordinators, Head or Vice Head and staff of the Department of High Education and the core group members in ICT and teaching methodology.
During the workshop, all the participants showed their enthusiasm for discussion to reach agreement on the template of the lesson plan, criteria for lesson plan evaluation, rules and organization of the competition.
The competition is a follow-up activity of the multiplication trainings in ICT for ATL which is intended to reach all the teachers at Lower Secondary schools in those five partner provinces from June to August 2011. The competition is expected to be a way of encouraging teachers to develop lesson plans using ICT for ATL. Best lesson plans will then be selected as a source of materials for the ORC which is being developed/upgraded by DOETs in cooperation with VVOB.
