On Mar 22-24, Social Participation component organized an in-depth workshop on Facilitation skills for club activity for 25 participants representing the Board of Management and staff of the Women's Union of the 5 provinces.
This is a follow-up workshop for last July which focused on building capacity for provincial core groups on the 12 themes for monthly club events/activities as well as participatory methods and techniques.

The workshop was a success according to participants' expectation and facilitator's design with friendly and dynamic atmosphere.

5 provinces shared experience on the implementation of the 12 themes after the first workshop in Jul 2010. In general, each province proved to have a rich resource of events that fit in the context of each locality. Realizing the value of such practice, some provinces even took inititative to multiply the model and distribute the Education club activity themes to many other districts and non-VVOB-support clubs.

Content wise, participants were trained thoroughly on 5 themes out of 12. Participants were given more time to practise participatory methods and techniques comprehensively. They are the key persons that have the capacity and practical experience to organize and facilitate multiplication training in the province.

For more information please see full report in attachment.

The next workshop in the series is expected to be held in end of June 2011.
