On 27 and 28 August 2011, 25 ICT expert group members and VVOB education programme coordinators gathered in beautiful Hue City to participate in a Training-Of-Trainers (TOT) workshop on e-learning.
This TOT workshop followed on another training workshop on the concept of e-learning and e-lesson design software, which was organized in 2010.
In this workshop, which was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Huy Hoang of the Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), participants had the opportunity to explore e-learning environments, in particular the Learning Management System Moodle. After the workshop, the expert group members, together with some members of the Education Innovation Plan Steering Committee Board, developed an e-learning multiplication training plan for their own teacher training institutes.
The training workshop made use of VVOB's e-learning toolkit, which was launched earlier in 2011.
The first picture shows one of the activities during the workshop. The participants were requested to draw a picture using some colored crayons. The crayons symbolized different elements of e-learning. The resulting drawing shows how e-learning looks like, according to the teacher. The second picture shows the VVOB education programme coordinator at the teacher training college in Quang Ninh, Mr. Khoat (right), 'the-man-with-the-golden-hands', in action.
