In collaboration with international, national and local experts VVOB Vietnam developed a series of methodology modules, referred to as Active Teaching and Learning Package. These materials were used for training of trainers (TOT) and as training material in the multiplication trainings conducted by these trainers in 5 Teacher Training Institutes and practice schools. They can also be used as a self-study package. The topics in the modules are also starting points for the research on methodology of the pre-service teachers.
Four of these modules (Learning Stations, Environmental Education, ICT for Active Teaching and Learning and Problem Based Learning) have been evaluated by the Department of Teachers and Administration of MOET, and added to the national reference material list for the national regular professional development. The evaluation of four other modules (Contract Work, Facilitation and Peer Coaching Skills, E-learning and Assessment and Evaluation) is ongoing.
