Context
VVOB – Education for Development is a Belgium-based organisation that strengthens education systems worldwide. We believe that quality education ensures equal opportunities and leads to a more equitable world for all. Our main objective is to sustainably reinforce the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of education and training by focusing on the professional development of teachers and on effective school leadership.
Currently, VVOB Vietnam is implementing one project within the Early Childhood Education (ECE) sector and one project extension in the Primary Education (PE) sector:
- ECE project “TALK: Preschool Teachers Apply Language-rich Teaching Skills and Knowledge” in Dien Bien, Quang Tri and Gia Lai (01/2022 – 12/2026)
- PE project “iPLAY: Integrating Play-based Learning Activities among Young learners in Vietnam” in Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Ho Chi Minh City (12/2019 – 01/2024 + 02/2024 – 07/2025)

Positions
VVOB Vietnam is currently looking for a qualified national candidates for below positions:
Operations Officer in Hanoi office: This function works closely together with members of the Operations team in Vietnam. Furthermore, this function works closely together with other departments (Education, MEAL, Communication) to support project implementation. This function reports to the Operations Manager.
MEAL Advisor: This function reports to the Country Programmes Manager. You are part of the M&E and research department (programme department at HQ) and work closely with your direct colleagues. Furthermore, you work closely together with the education team in your country and with the M&E and Research team members at head office (M&E & Research department in all countries for HQ).
Strategic Education Advisor: This function reports to Country Programmes Manager and is part of VVOB Vietnam’s extended strategic team. The Strategic Education Advisor is an expert in the field of Learning through Play in primary education and Teacher Professional Development, providing guidance to the project team in this technical domain, through a close collaboration with the education and MEAL departments. As a member of the extended strategic team, the Strategic Education Advisor contributes to shaping the strategy of VVOB Vietnam.
Education Advisor: Education Advisor reports to Education Manager. You are part of and work closely with your direct colleagues of the Education Department and with the project coordinators when relevant. Furthermore, you work closely together with all other departments in Vietnam and with the Strategic Education Advisors at HQ.
